Norma J. (Campbell) Langenderfer

Norma J. Langenderfer, 80, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in her home.

She was born on April 3, 1937 to the late Lloyd O. and Ruth A. (Deubendorfer) Campbell in Toledo, OH, and has lived in South Bend, IN since 1972, coming from Walnut Creek, CA.  Along with her parents; she was also preceded in death by her two sons, Donnell J. Langenderfer, Sr. in 2002; and David C. Langenderfer, Jr. in 2006.

Norma worked as an Executive Secretary, for Kaiser Jeep International Corporation, for seven years in Toledo, OH, and then for three years in Oakland, CA.  She then worked as a Secretary for Cole Associates, Inc in South Bend, IN for four years.

On January 28, 1956, as Norma J. Campbell, she married David C. Langenderfer, Sr. in Richfield, OH.  He passed away on September 10, 2001.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Debra L. (husband Thomas Cavanaugh) Leyes of Alma, MI; seven grandchildren, Randal (wife Sally) Leyes; Timothy (wife Monica) Leyes; Daniel (wife Emily) Leyes; Victoria (Kimber Johnson) Cavanaugh; Donnell (Amiee Cantu) Langenderfer, Jr.; Gage Langenderfer; and Tyler Langenderfer; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard D. Campbell of Fort Myers, FL; and Robert L. Campbell of Temperance, MI.

Norma was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

Visitation will take place from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN.

A  Graveside Service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Highland Cemetery, 2257 Portage Avenue, South Bend, IN.
