To all of Karen's family,
I want to extend my sympathy and prayers to all.
Karen and I were childhood friends, growing up across the street from each other on Johnson. There are many, many happy childhood memories. Our paths went different ways when we grew up and started our families, and we lost touch. My maiden name was Kowalski. Prayers are with you.

Thank you Karen and thank you for the beautiful card you sent. It is never easy to lose a parent as you are well aware. We all have faith though that the ones that go before us are are no longer in pain and have no suffering. They are also the ones to greet us first when we finally come back home and show us the ropes of what a truely great place heaven is. Although it's hard now to understand for any of us I have to keep telling myself it's not goodbye but I'll see you later.

Your mom was my friend since we were young girls. I loved her and will forever miss her as I know you will. Love you guys, she was so proud of you all and her grandchildren. My heart is broken.

Our condolences to Karen's family. Sue and Karen worked together, both at St. Joseph Medical Center and again at Elkhart General. She was an amazing woman, devoted to her family, friends and community. May she rest in peace with our Lord forever.

Brian, Curtis, Colleen and Matthew, we are grateful to have known your mom. We first met her through Maryalice and then experienced her beautiful liturgical dance at Little Flower. She was alway clear about her love for her family no matter what else was on her mind. We send you our love and condolences as you remember your mom and her love for you.

Lucette, Michaeland Maryalice, we know the loss of a sister is a special kind of loss as well. We hope that memories of good times the four of you shared will help you in the difficult days.

Our family will keep each of you and your families in our hearts and prayers as you remember and celebrate Karen's life.

Matthew - Can you give us an address where sympathy cards can be sent. It will only be sent to a small number of people - no more than 15 - that knew your mother. Send it to my e-mail address: nancysmi@aol.com.
Your mother was part of our Girl's Night Out group - we met once a month for dinner. In the group were ladies that knew your mother from the 1990's that went to New Hope at Little Flower Church. Oh, how she was so proud of her children.

Dear Colleen, Matthew, Brian, and Curtis:
I was shocked this morning to learn of the passing of your mother. She was a wonderful person, who was crucial in my getting the Tuesday night group going; in fact, she was the first co-leader. What a fine person who greatly loved all of you and helped so many people throughout her life. She will be in our prayers. And she will be greatly missed.

Thank you Dr. Crowe, we appreciate your kind and thoughtful words. Our mother was able to find some peace and comfort, and looked forward to joining her father in Heaven. I hope you and your family are doing well...
