Joan (Christopher) Crovello

Joan Christopher Crovello, 76, of South Bend, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in her home, following an illness.

She was born on May 4, 1941 to the late Michael A. and Delia (Sauro) Christopher in Albion, NY, and has lived in South Bend, IN since 1967.  Along with her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Christopher and sister-in-law Jenny Christopher. 

Joan is survived by her son, Michael (wife Joy, M.D.) Crovello, M.D. of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter, Mara (husband Guy Trerotola) Crovello of San Francisco, CA; her nephew, Michael David Christopher and four grandchildren, Rachel McCluskey, Sarah Crovello, Mia Trerotola, and Matteo Trerotola.

Joan was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish at the University of Notre Dame.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, University of Notre Dame. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Notre Dame, IN.

No flowers, please, instead memorial contributions may be made to: The Scleroderma Foundation, the Lupus Foundation of America, and the Department of Dance of the Jordan College of the Arts at Butler University.
