Jeri A. Lichnerowicz, 66, of Vandalia, MI (formerly of South Bend, IN) passed away at 12:41 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 in her home, following an illness.
She was born on September 16, 1952 to Thomas and Verla (Berends) Green in Niles, MI and lived in South Bend, IN all of her life, until moving to Donnell Lake in Vandalia, MI in 1993.
Jeri retired in 2007 from University Park Family Physicians Office, where she worked for Dr. Robert King for 27 years.
On May 20, 1995, as Jeri A. Green, she married Roland K. Lichnerowicz at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.
Jeri is survived by her husband, Roland K. “Coach Rollie” Lichnerowicz of Vandalia, MI; her father, Thomas (his wife Jean) Green of Elkhart, IN; adopted son, Gary Jones of Daytona Beach, FL; two sisters, Sherry L. Haselden of Vandalia, MI; identical twin sister, Jean M. (husband Bill) Goss of South Bend, IN; one brother, Richard O. (wife Judie) Green of Chicago, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jeri was preceded in death by her mother, Verla Green.
She loved fishing at Donnell Lake with her identical twin sister, Jean. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, and gambling- especially at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, IN.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Cremation will follow.
A private Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later date.
