Felix Salvatore Rulli

Felix Salvatore Rulli, 85, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, in his home.  Felix was born on December 15, 1931 in South Bend to Vito and Teresa (LaRosa) Rulli and was a lifelong resident.  He was the owner of Felix’s Barber Shop.  Felix had been a barber for over 70 years.  On January 27, 1962, in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Elkhart, Indiana, he married  Catherine M. “Cathy” Palmero, who survives.  He is also survived by two daughters, Cathy (Bill) Kazmierczak and Terri Rulli both of South Bend, Indiana; his son, Joe Rulli of Chicago, Illinois; two grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Kazmierczak; his brother,  James Rulli of Columbus, Ohio; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.  Felix was preceded in death by his brother Tony Rulli in 2009.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 in Holy Family Church.  A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00–8:00 p.m. Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary and prayer service will take place at 7:30 p.m.  Felix was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Knights of Columbus Council #5570.  He served in the United States Army from 1955 – 1957.  Felix was an avid golfer.  He enjoyed gardening and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice or Holy Family School.
