Evelyn N. Buck

Evelyn N. Buck, 95, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017 in her home. Evelyn was born on December 5, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Bruno and Helen (Tomaszeski) Nawrocki. On September 14, 1946 she married Robert W. Buck who preceded her in death on January 22, 2004. She is survived by one daughter Debra (Louie) DeCarlo of Carlsbad, California; one son Dan of New Carlisle, Indiana ( fiance Vickie Murray) Buck; 5 grandchildren, David (Jodi Riesenfeld) Briner of New Carlisle, Indiana, Derik (Jamie Walbert) Williamson of New Carlisle, Indiana, Eric (Nikki Brinker) Phillips of New Carlisle, Indiana, Robert S. (Jessica) Buck of New Carlisle, Indiana, Jennifer (Aaron) Ohrel of Vista, California; and eleven great grandchildren. Other survivors include one niece Jackie Segal, and two step grandchildren Tricia and Angie Murray. Evelyn was a very devoted wife, her family was the most important thing to her. She loved her job of styling hair. She was an independent business woman who was way ahead of her time. She was the owner of Evelyn's Beauty Den in Chicago, Illinois. She was very proud to be the wife of a Chicago Police officer. Private family burial will take place on Wednesday October 18, 2017 in Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois.
