Esther M. Ksiezopolski, 74, of Granger, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at 3:14 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN, following a brief illness.

She was born on May 11, 1942 to the late Edward and Anne (Sloma) Urbanski in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident.  Along with her parents; she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joanne Badowski; and Rita Davis.

Esther worked at Muszynski Insurance in South Bend, IN for 25 years.

On July 9, 1966, as Esther M. Urbanski, she married Ed Ksiezopolski at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.

Esther is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ed Ksiezopolski of Granger, IN; her daughter, Sue (Richard) Moore of Granger, IN; her son, Kevin (Emily) Ksiezopolski of Granger, IN; four grandchildren, Megan and Natalie Moore; Max and Kate Ksiezopolski; and two sisters, Lauretta (Ralph) Muszynski of South Bend, IN; and Teresa Sharpe of Granger, IN.

Esther was a member of St. Adalbert Parish; M.R. Falcon’s Nest 4; and a lifelong member of Knollwood Country Club in Granger, IN.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN and from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN  46530.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  Cremation will follow.

Esther's family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rafat Ansari and his nurse Brandee.  Dr. Ansari guided our family through a very difficult time with integrity and true compassion. We are blessed not to only call him our doctor, but a friend as well.
